Why Screen?
Identifying signaling pathways or targets
Antiestrogen resistance is a major problem in breast cancer treatment.

Dr. CW Yde’s lab performed a kinase inhibitor screening on an antiestrogen responsive cell line using the SelleckChem kinase inhibitor library. Compound JNJ-7706621, an inhibitor of aurora kinase, exhibited growth inhibition of antiestrogen-resistant cell lines.

This discovery identified protein aurora kinase as a new target in treatment of antiestrogen-resistant breast cancer.
